As a counsellor specialising in relationships, I understand the effect they can have on our mental health. Difficulties in relationships can lead to anxiety and depression, making our lives unbearable. However I work with clients to help them overcome the trauma that can be caused by relationship breakdowns, narcissism, bullying, abuse and co-dependency.

Counselling with a qualified and experienced therapist will help you recover from distress caused by problems such as a difficult relationship. By working together, I can help you to move on and live life to its fullest.

I love being a counsellor and working with my clients; the relationship we create works both ways as I help my clients discover themselves whilst I gain so much inspiration from them. I am passionate about helping people that have experienced difficulties in their lives and my experience in the voluntary sector before I went into private practice illustrates this. ISupporting people who have experienced abuse and been in dysfunctional relationships means that I have seen the impact that counselling can have on my clients and their lives despite the challenges they have faced.

My experience means I recognise the importance of providing compassion and a non-judgmental space so my clients feel safe and relaxed. This allows you to explore your emotions at a speed you feel comfortable with, helping you let go of fear and trauma. Following this your feelings should begin to change with anxiety and depression improving and you feeling more empowered.

For the last 5 years I have been supporting individuals that have experienced dysfunctional or co-dependent relationships and for the last 7 years I have been helping people overcome childhood abuse and domestic violence in the voluntary sector. Therefore I know the impact that such trauma can have and how this can affect your life.

My clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and I am proud have helped many people move on from past distress and stop it impacting their future. By overcoming such trauma, you can improve your wellbeing and find peace.

I live and work in Bradford, West Yorkshire and am based at the beautiful Victoria Therapy Centre in Saltaire.

It’s a real privilege to live in an area that offers such wonderful landscapes and lockdown really made me realise this. In my free time I love walking, connecting with nature and yoga as I really feel the benefits of these activities, both physically and psychologically.

I love travelling and experiencing different cultures and ways of life which influences my work as well as my passions for the arts, science and history; I believe these factors all affect how we tick.

To see how I may be able to help you, I provide a free, initial 20 minute consultation. The aim is to help you decide if counselling with me will be right for you and if together we can successfully work to improve your mental health.

I offer in-person counselling from safe and calming therapy rooms in Saltaire as well as online counselling sessions to clients who live outside the area or prefer to undertake counselling from the comfort of their own home. I offer counselling on weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.

Following the initial consultation, sessions occur weekly and are charged at £50 per hour.

Payment can be made in cash, by card or bank transfer.

To find out more or to book your initial consultation, please email or call 07918 019441.
