I have a lot of experience working with young people and continue to work as a school counsellor in Leeds alongside my private work. I have previously specialised in helping clients with anger management issues and in bereavement counselling.

I use the person-centered approach as I find that it helps clients to self-discover the issues that have been affecting them. I find it particularly effective with young people who may not be able to describe or identify the thoughts or feelings which are troubling them.

MY APPROACH

I help clients who are feeling alone, angry, sad, anxious or low. If a life event has caused a client to suffer trauma, guilt, stress or grief they do not need to deal with those thoughts and feelings alone. Counselling can help clients to process the trauma and find a happier, healthier place.

My practise focuses upon creating a safe, confidential place where clients can explore issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and thoughts. I aim to help the client improve self-awareness, wellbeing and to work through their issues, building self-confidence.

My approach is to treat the client as the expert on themselves, the solutions come from within.

WHO I WORK WITH

I offer counselling for adults and young people aged 11-18. We will work at your pace. I will guide you along a journey toward better self-awareness and wellbeing.
