Hello, my name is Madiha and I offer therapy for women in Saltaire, Bradford. I am an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Counselling Psychotherapist and Menopause-Informed Psychological Specialist with over 20 years of experience working in health and wellbeing.
I work exclusively with women aged 18+, who often share with me that they are holding everything together while quietly struggling on the inside. Perhaps you no longer feel like yourself, or you can’t quite put into words what has changed. Things may feel heavier and harder than before, and old ways of coping may no longer fit.
I offer a space to explore your story from within, where you can make sense of your experiences and begin reconnecting with yourself.

No two women experience life in the same way, which is why I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.
My work is grounded in evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Activation (BA), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focused approaches (TF-CBT), integrated with relational counselling.
I also offer EMBERS® Menopause-Informed Psychological Care, recognising the close relationship between hormonal health, emotional well-being, and psychological adjustment. EMBERS® supports women in understanding the interaction between their body, mind, emotions, relationships, and everyday life, helping them make psychological sense of hormonal transitions while developing practical strategies for lasting wellbeing.
Whether you are seeking short-term support for a specific difficulty or longer-term therapy to understand deeper patterns, my aim is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself.
I work with women experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

I have a special interest in therapy for women and areas such as:
With over 20 years of experience across the NHS, voluntary sector, third sector, and higher education, I have dedicated my career to supporting mental health and wellbeing in a range of clinical settings. My professional background includes extensive experience as a Clinical Social Worker in acute hospitals and hospice care before retraining as a Counselling Psychotherapist at Leeds Beckett University, where I graduated with a Postgraduate Distinction. I subsequently completed further postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Sheffield.
I have held associate therapist roles with Bradford Counselling Service (now part of Cellar Trust) and the University of Bradford Mental Health Services. Alongside my private practice, I currently work within NHS Talking Therapies as a High-Intensity Psychological Therapist, maintaining a strong foundation in evidence-based practice while supporting adults experiencing a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
I am one of a small number of clinicians worldwide to have completed specialist menopause-informed psychological training in the EMBERS® framework, receiving training directly from its founding clinical psychologist.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am a Menara Health Expert, contributing evidence-informed articles to the Menara Knowledge Library, available through the Menara app, and supporting the development and delivery of menopause workshops across West Yorkshire.

A standard session lasts between 50 and 60 minutes and is charged at £90. When clinically appropriate, an extended 90‑minute session would be charged at £125. I also offer a block of six sessions for £480.
Payments can be made via Bank Transfer, Stripe payment link or through some approved insurers – AXA, Aviva, or WPA.
Rather than offering a brief consultation call, I provide a full initial therapy session. This gives you the time and space to settle in, share what has been bringing you to therapy, and gain a genuine sense of whether we are the right fit to work together.
Following the initial session, we’ll agree together on a pace that suits you, usually weekly or bi‑weekly. Occasionally, a 90‑minute session may be offered if it feels clinically helpful, and we would discuss this in advance.
To book your initial session, please contact me directly by emailing madiha@victoriatherapycentre.co.uk
